The AEG Containment System was designed for use of surface-based plastic collars in high energy environments while allowing established site servicing methods to maintain the site and fish stock. A significant storm event occured at the AEG demonstration site in March 2010. This storm allowed further monitoring of the AEG Containment System in high-energy conditions involving 4 m waves while raising steelhead trout. Pictures were taken and logged by the onsite AEG Open Ocean Feeder every 15 sec and a series involving 1 hr on Thursday 4 March 2010 are compiled to create this video. The feeder itself experienced significant storm impact with rockweed washed on the upper deck 3 m high from the water surface but no scheduled feeding events were lost during the storm event. The final image was taken on Saturday 6 March 2010 after the soon. The total dead fish count during the storm did not increase any from the normal mortality rate and no net abrasion marks were observed on the dead fish as net bagging did not occur even during this storm event.
