Not bad. I haven't sung for quite a long time now. Though I have a vocal rang of over 2 octives and can sing well (other people have told me so) it does take a lot of nerves to sing lead in front of a crowd, especially a big crowd.
I think the backing vocals need a bit more strength and not so "sanitised" and need to improvise a bit more. I've watched videos of Billy Joel singing this live and it rocks.
It is technically not that difficult to sing as compared to some other songs like Queen

I wouldnt be so hard on yourself. It was quite a good performance. Some small details that you and rbright79 picked up especially harmony strength (and ferrets with the SNAPS!! which I totally agree with)...
But show me a high-school group that performs live with 100% accuracy every gig and I'll show you a group that is miming :D
Plus, solo leads that are super cute get bonus points even before they open their mouths.

Ok so I was the soloist in this video. First thank you for all the serious criticisms and complements. I will say it was def. wayyy too fast it was a problem we had while rehearsing too. Def was pitchy, and was def nervous. I was only 18 at the time, feel like if I got another crack at it I could do a little better now. Harmony was off a little bit too.
