For those whom are uncomfortable with Pressure canners. Start here. Many good recipes for using these canners. This is also what you will use to can tomatoes from the garden. It's a great easy way to preserve food, and you know what's in there. Hope you found it helpful! Take Care.... The Swede

  • @TheWildNorth Thank man! I've actually canned venison and just don't like the way it comes out. However, canning chicken breast works great! Way better than canned chicken from the store! Hope you have a good hunting season!

  • Good alternative info.

  • @infomorgue Correct! Great post!

  • @waypastprime Great crop! Can also do with a pressure cooker, but not required for tomato products. Also, salt not required for tomato products but required for just about everything else. I've had quarts of beans setting around for 5 to 7 years, although they start to loose just a bit of flavor. Dad-in-law says 10 years.. Thanks for the comment!

  • ahhh... So what would one find uncomfortable about a pressure canner???

Use one weekly, and no one has died... yet! :) OK Swede... kidding aside, I just put up 14 quarts of green beans as for some reason I had a super duper crop. I also did a bunch of tomatoes, but I did do them with the pressure cooker.... I added some fresh basil and onions too... Did you add salt to your batch? How long will you store them before eating?? Thanks for the vid. Nice to see your back!
