The funny thing is that Lawrence O'Donnell wouldn't dare call Otto von Bismarck a socialist. Bismarck would be a "right-wing" in MSNBC terminology. Hell, he supported a king. But SS under Bismarck was just for old people who couldn't work. Plus, they set the retirement age at 65 when the life expectancy was 45. If we really wanted to follow Bismarck's system, we'd set the SS age at 93.

O'Donnell is an absolute waste of skin. He tried to corner Peter Schiff, too, but that backfired as Schiff made him look like the moron, handing him his proverbial hat. That said, I begrudgingly admit to seeing his point about so-called conservatives being too frightened to whisper a word in opposition of Medicare or Social Security. Of course, if they did, tools like O'Donnell would run with it, confuse the issue and smear them as much as possible.
