@dsrtpunk Just thought I'd add my two cents to maybe answer your question. It is my understanding that you need a certain kind of rice, informally called " sticky rice" to form the rice balls. Minute rice won't work (if your a minute rice person like me). And fillings can be anything you like, the fillings in the vid are just traditional to japanese rice balls. The seaweed wrap isn't necessary either, it just adds an aesthetic feel and to help keep your hands sticky rice free. Did that help?
