In Honor of Rev. Ignacio P. Bautista
If I know my father, when we were yet together as a church family here in the Philippines, he never really expected nor hoped to get any of these awards / honors given him in recognition of his unselfish life-time devotion and services to and for the Lord's mission here on earth. He is 95 years old and although bedridden, he is still mentally alert and exhibits a lot of humor.
But, one of this morning's Good Samaritan Church's 50th Founding Anniversary cited, awarded, and honoured Servants of Christ was my father, Rev. Ignacio P. Bautista, now living in California in the care of Ate Miriam together with my brothers Kuya Jun, Edwin, sister Ate Necy and their respective families. Johnny, our youngest together with his wife Tess, my wife, Lorna and I accepted the award in behalf of our brothers and sisters in California and those in the Philippines, namely: Ate Loida, Ate Ruth and their families. This is video Part 1 of three or four parts, I think.

I saw a comment posted here about my uncle, Felicisimo Decenteceo, a while ago. With utmost regret, I was informed that Tio Pepe passed away today at the age of 97. He was a humble and a very extrordinary man... a person with a very good heart and he will be sorely missed. My heartfelt condolence to my cousins, mana Aileen, mano Eddie, mana Jojo, and mano Lou and to their families. May tio Pepe rest in peace. Hail and farewell.

Thanks for sharing the video about Tatay; he is always in our prayers. The oldest member of our church, International Evangelical Church of Alabang is also 95 years old, Felicisimo Decenteceo and he still comes to church and almost every Sunday at that. Everytime I see him and shakes his hand, he reminds me of Tatay. Will look forward to the second part of your video. God bless.
