My guess as to the identity of the man in the jeans and ball cap was initially Red West - however, Vernon fired him, Sonny West & Dave Hebler on July 13,1976.

Sure does resemble Red West tho"...

@savammy Elvis had a drug problem. He had taken 8 sleeping pills the same day he died. It might be that he died of a heart attack, but it was probably caused by his drug abuse.

saw a report from 8/16/1997 that elvis did not die of drug abuse he died of complications from heart desease,hypertension,impacted and twisted colon,cracked spine was on steroids and heavy pain medication to get him through each day so he could be elvis to his fans.this is from a report from nbc evening news with tom brokaw 8/16/1997 saw it on you tube

I Think it was 27 May 1977 in Binghampton NY 8.30 p.m ....you can hear Bridge and Heartbreak Hotel,bonus track on the cd UNCHAINED ELVIS with the concert of the day before,in the same place..they are the same,i mean..
