@herrgolf The western world didn't intervene in support of Bosnia (against Yugoslavia) because as I said, Yugoslavian army was entitled to forbid Bosnia to secede from Yugoslavia. The western world intervened (more or less succesfully) just in order to prevent both sides from committing attrocities. But once REPUBLIKA SRPSKA (not Yugoslavia) launched war against Bosnia, the situation changed - now it was Bosnia which was entitled to crush this insurgency.

@herrgolf I think we, the Western people, know well about the other nations, such as the Bosnian Serbs. The problem is that we would not accept any division of BiH which historically didn't form part of Serbia proper. According to law a sovereign state has the right to crush any insurgency within its territory. Thats was the case of both Yugoslavia in respect of Bosnia's declaration of independence and of BiH in respect of seccesionist tendencies of Republika Srpska.

Western audiences don't seem to know that Bosnia is not only populated by Bosniaks, nor do they know the role the US played in goading Izetbegovic to renege his pledge to abide by the peace agreement which would've stopped the bloodshed and phsyical destruction from occurring in the first place.
