La Machine -Giant Spiders- in Yokohama / Apr.19,2009

The technical performance group "La Machine" establishes in Nantes in France held the performance using the giant machine spider in Yokohama Japan.

"La Machine" is the technical section of the theatrical company "Royal de Luxe" who performed the play "Sultan's elephant" using a giant girl's doll and elephant which is also popular in YouTube.

The giant spider named "princess" was invited as a feature of the "Y150" ; 150th anniversary event of opening of a port of Yokohama.
A performance can be seen every day in a period of the event (April 28 to September 27), the spider moves the inside of the park of the event.

But this day, two machine spiders walked around from "new harbor" to "Nihon oo-dori". This parade of the public road was carried out as a pre-event of Y150.

The story of Apr. 19th; Two of spiders which met in the "new harbor" were in congeral temper, then show a dance in "Aka-Renga Park".(i couldn't take a video, sorry)
After that, two spiders went to walk around the city of Yokohama.
Two returns back to the "new harbor" and one left here, but another one decide to remain in Y150 park as a symbol of "bonds amd relation" for 153 days.
