Thanks a million. I'm a big car guy, so.. I like to mess with adding emblems (like the Dodge SRT-4 symbol to a new car).

Thank you so much for this. <3

Hello. I have a question. How to change the dark grid for more light or white grid? Thanks

VERY GOOD & very helpful. I'm a complete noob to GIMP and "image" modification in general, I'm pretty useless at anything It, computer, internet related. I followed this step by step and it worked, first time. It has helped me so much - not enough space on here to explain, but this was brilliant for me - THANK YOU x1000 :D

Basically what he is saying is, if the picture that you're trying to create a transparent backround for doesn't already have a solid 1-color backround that you'll have to zoom in (like on MS paint) and manually draw/erase an outline around the object that you want to have standing alone within the transparent backround. If not, the magic wand wont know what to highlight. It might also be necessary to fill in the backround all one solid color, or erase it if you choose.

I do have to say thankyou for posting that. If it wasn't for you it would have taken me a lot longer to figure out how to make a transparent backround. You are a very nice person. : )
