  • These are sweet. I doubt you could be disappointed with them. However, the Genelecs are great too. Check the specs and reviews, find the ones that best fit your needs. You really can't go wrong!

  • how could you possibly compare some z5500 logitech cpu speakers to adam a7. Yeah right buddy. nothing matches the adams under $1500

  • I just got a pair of Adam A7s in my project studio, and they are exquisite! Everything I'd heard about them was true! Great highs & mids; and the low end is surprisingly big and linear. They handle everything this side of low-end "torture test tones" with great aplomb. :)

One thing TBAO; the Adam's XLR balanced and RCA unbalanced inputs are calibrated identical, but since balanced leads run about 6dB hotter than unbalanced, you'll need to adjust your output device accordingly to avoid clipping.

  • @GAG4IT no question! these are universally good, but the big thing with hiphop is hearing whats going on in the low end and these are good for that, but only go down to 42hz. You want to be able to hear down to 30hz., so add a sub or get one of the lower-frequency extended adam monitors like Adam s3x-h. a well-treated room (with bass traps) is essential as well for clarity, otherwise you get different frequencies that boom more than others. keep away from walls and corners for accurate bass...

  • Just wondering if anyone would recommend these or any of the other Adam Audio Monitors to use for Hiphop and R&B Music??...

  • @jutubaeh Oh yeah, the old Boundary Reinforcement trick! That's the easiest way to get some rumble for free! I ran my A7s like that for a while, and they certainly have some impressive thump on their own. They do "chuff" a bit though, being ported speakers.

Since I need a more linear response, I now run them near-field w/ a gentle shelf at the X-over frequency and a Sub-8 to round out the bottom octave. I have some nasty room nodes to overcome, but that setup still gives me great results!

  • @freakybuzz have you ever heard bass amplified by a room corner?

only thing i can compare to such punch are demolition excavators...

  • i have a set of these…couldnt be happier

  • @bxlstudios Me too! =)

  • I wouldn't worry too much about anything over 25khz seeing as Cd's only go to 22.5khz. You can get inaudible frequencies clashing to become audible but you'll hear them anyway!

  • Can't find any graph on the Adam website which displays db-frequency tolerance levels. I like to know what to compensate for when trying to translate to other systems. There are a few others who could benefit from such detail in their literature. Dynaudio are another bunch who could be doing such things. Kind of a major factor when parting with pile of cash on their product I would have thought!!!

  • the adam art ribbon tweeters are the best sounding tweeter in the world its the same they use on the collossall olympus range...the new tweeter goes up to 50hz so the resolution is without competition...these ARE NOT too far forward sounding speakers there just better than all the rest...check out the sx range they make any dome types sound mechanical or fatigued....

  • which top producers use them especially in the hip hop and rnb world? to all please! thank you!
