@luisalau How does someone get started with ballet? I'd like to try ballet as a supplement to jazz, which i'd also be a beginner. I'm 19, am I too old to start? lol

try to locate established school near by where u live or work and speak to a more experience teacher then go for some trail classes . try to feel if that school is giving you what u want to learn , it is the right environment u feel comfortable and at ease in...all the best!

I'm, in grade 4 and I'm 13! They're all so young but really good! You seem like a really nice teacher. The only difference when I do rond de jambe a terre I don't pause at each "quarter", I keep it running smoothly along the whole way!

you are right . there is no pause. it is just they need to reminded. rond de jambe should be smooth thru out...... cheers!

hey, this is a ballet class ,han! not  latin training sessions............of cos sounded different ..hehehe! sounded more classic la. more over i will scare the ...out of these kids! hahaha! thanks for viewing.

Hey im 13 aswell and im in Grade 4, (Just passed grade 3 and im waiting for my exam results now.I think I flopped it...TT^TT) are there any tips you can give me in result to getting high grades?I find a few high holding leg movements easy and the pirrouettes but some others are a bit tricky...

@Niamhy1967x RAD stands for Royal Academy of Dance. There is a specified syllabus that requires the students at this level (Grade 4, which is different from academic school grades) to repeat the exercises exactly as set in the syllabus. At a young age the students are taught to pause in the positions to encourage clean movement and proper accent. They stop pausing when they get older. Rond de jambe should have an accent to the side or front/back, though no pause once you are advanced.
