This 5-minute video provides an overview of Encounter's important work focusing on our Israel program and greater mission, vision and impact.
Encounter has taken over 750 current and rising Jewish leaders and change agents from across the political spectrum on educational visits to the West Bank. Through ground-breaking tours to Palestinian cities and follow-up programming in North America, Encounter is transforming American Jewish engagement with the Israeli-Palestinian conflict by training key Jewish leaders to address one of the most divisive issues of our time with compassion and nuance.
These leaders return to their congregations, networks, and institutions equipped with tools to create more informed, complex Israel education, as well as to foster safe, honest intra-Jewish dialogue about Israel across ideological lines. Many of them continue their Encounter education and training through our North American program, which leverages our unique methodologies and network of talented alumni to advance prospects for peace between Jews and Palestinians in the Middle East, as well as to reshape Israel education and the national Jewish conversation about Israel in North America.
