First Flight after 20 years on the shelf.
This is a Carl Goldberg Piper Cub Aniversary Edition. I converted it from it's original nitro .40 K & B motor to an electric after 20 years on the shelf. . Here are the specs....
Motor: Scorpion Brushless Outrunner 3026-8 1212KV motor producing 1000 watts of power
Prop: 12" x 6" APC E
Speed Controller: Scorpion Commander 70 amp ESC
Batteries: 2 - 11.1V 4000 mah lipo 25C COPPER TAB HECELL

  • I used one of those multi-adjustable aluminum motor mounts.... two pieces that slide forward & backward to get the right distance for the cowl......

  • Is that the clipped wings 70" kit from 1985 ?

  • It is from 1985, but it is the aniversary edition with the full wing....... 78 inch span.....

  • what kind of motor mount did you use for your conversion. I am in the process of doing one right now and need some help in the motor mount.

  • I have the same but I made it clipped, I have 10-15mn flight with one 5000mha/11.1v

    I love it, no more dead sticks or clean up !
