A series of videoblogs that take us behind the scenes of The Princess and the Frog and Disney's ongoing return to hand drawn animation. Written, directed and edited by Brendon Connelly, camerawork by Martin Treadwell
great video! Nice to hear the opinion of a clean-up artist - normally they are really quiet and you find not really anything about them!
It's really sad that computers will replace handdrawn animation in future. My hope is that this future is far away. It just isn't handdrawn then anymore, it's computerbased drawn... that's not the same for the producers... whole different thing!
<3 Oh gawd I hope they NEVER draw animated movies on computer! Nothing can replace the quality of paper drawn art and the feel you get when drawing them. Computers are so distant and cold. They produce no sound nor a certain feel like paper does.
This is a great series. A great reminder of the magic of the "analog" arts. Hopefully films like this and Fantastic Mr. Fox will open the doors for more of that hand-made magic.
Part 5 Pleaseee!
