to be honest I liked the ending...I think it intentionally lasted a couple of minutes longer, to play on the horror cliché of the expected "unexpected twist"...Me, along with friends of mine that have seen it, were sooo certain that a "the killer is alive after all" moment was gonna happen...but no, he got shot and he doesn't come back from the dead...also surprising is the couple surviving in the end (which is soooo rare in recent horror films)...
