December 1st: the first day of a 90 day experiment. There is no current scientific literature regarding the use of uphill walking as a fat loss technique. The experiment will go as follows:
My diet will remain unchanged.
Diet is as follows: I'm getting 30-40% of my calories from fat, 20-25% from protein, and the rest is carbs, which could range from 50% down to 35%. depending on what I eat each day. Nearly all meat is chicken, but there is a steak once or twice a month. Carbs are no more than 30% grains, which consists of whole wheat pasta when I do eat it. The rest are sweet potatoes, fruits, and vegetables. Fats are from milk, meat, and olive oil. My caloric intake is between 3800 and 4500 calories per day.
My workouts will continue to be based around gaining strength.
My ONLY fat loss activity will be walking uphill on a treadmill at 15 degrees and 2.0-2.3 mph. I currently do no training of any sort outside of gymnastics and heavy lifting/strongman training, nor have I for well over a year.
My supplementation is as follows: Some protein powder, 1/4 teaspoon of KreAlkalyn creatine powder per day. I have decided not to use the fat burning supplement, as I am interested in showing the base effect of the walking, and adding in a thermogenic substance will reduce the accuracy of what fat loss is actually caused by the walking itself
I currently weigh 225-230 lbs at an estimated 15% bodyfat. I will get more accurate measurements as soon as I can.
Dude.. those are some short as shorts.. Where did you get those from? the 80's?

The olive oil is the best overall source of monounsaturated fats.
Most people don't get enough fat, and the ones that do are eating too much of the unhealthy fats.
The fat in olive oil is easily digested and metabolized, and causes the body to produce more lipase, the fat digesting enzyme. This actually makes the body burn fat more efficiently.
Fats play a key role in controlling blood sugar levers, which are the primary cause of obesity along with excessive caloric intake.
