@David140567 Thanks for the note. The only issue I would warn you about is you backswing with the "Nicklaus" address. Golfers tend to "suck" in the arms too much when they put the club and shaft in alignment. If you watch that you don't do that, then I don't have any issue with you inline address.
Cheers,
Martin

How about the backswing top position? If you do like what you say in this video, wouldn't club be closed?
In, your recent video "why golfers suck", you told us that we need to have square club face without cupped wrist at the backswing top.

@hptpcl1 Great point. As I said, in a "lot" of cases students do much better when the club face is closed. The "Why Golfers Suck" video basically addressed golfers with open faces. Like I said in that video, I've seen a lot of good players with closed faces, but not many with open faces.

This video has the greatest tip on creating a divot and hitting down on the ball I have ever seen. For 30 years I have wondered how to consistantly hit down on the ball... have paid several instructors to show me (all failed) and yet the holding of the club in the right hand and moving the handle to the outside of the left hip and gripping it with the left hand immediately had me hitting down, taking divots and hitting penetrating shots. Awesome tip... totally changed my game... Thanks, Bob

@bobcarter4343 Bob, thanks for the kind words. I'm glad that video about address position options made a difference for you! Continued success with your golf game. Take care, Martin

You have presented the best grip explanation that makes so much sense. The Golf Channel missed a great instructor. I also admire your calm demeanor.
