This is the problem every time GI JOE gets adapted from the comics to animation or film: You can't separate Snake Eyes and Scarlett and ignore their romance without diminishing both characters. Without Scarlett, Snake Eyes loses his backstory and becomes a one-note, silent killing machine with nothing to humanize him. Without Snake Eyes, Scarlett becomes a piece of eye-candy to get hit on by dumb grunts, with no life outside of the military. Snake Eyes & Scarlett 4ever! <3
