I always loved this scene the most. It's so enchanting and spooky at the same time. A good depiction of an out of body experience, floating around the cathedral. Not that it was intended to be. But it's that aura that runs through the whole movie that makes it so wonderful. And capturing a surreal supernatural essence, as from a child's heart, that makes this Disney's finest.

Now I´m crying.
This was not one Walt Disney´s favourite songs.
It was his favourite.
Can I ask you a personal favor, LoreneFaith ?
Ask, if You can a Spoonful of Sugar, please.
Once again, thank you

It is said that Walt Disney himself couldn't listen to this song without shedding a tear.
Trust me, I know what it feels like.
The bird lady is played by the great character-actress Jane Darwell, best remembered as "Ma Joad" in The Grapes of Wrath and "Mrs Merriwether" in Gone With the Wind. This was her last film role.

Beautiful montage. I've always loved this most of all Disney's films, and this sequence lies at t.he movie's heart.

This was played at Walt Disney World after Walt Disney's death and one of the Sherman brothers was playing the piano and a dove went under the piano and flew away and everyone felt that this was Walt and it gets people upset everytime
