@12ock I have seen some videos on you tube now that they are farmed, looks like if they expanded their operations there would be a huge swell in populations again
I remember in the 50's and 60's we had friends who got abalone in Monterey, Moss Landing areas. My gramma fixed it the same way and served with lemon and homemade tartar sauce. Those were the days! Yum.

@xMrCustom24x ....The ones we get can only be taken in 5 counties in northern California. You have to freedive for them (5 to 40 feet)...or rock pick them on minus tides...
Oh yum, I don't generally eat fried food, BUT, how I wish I knew you and this was for dinner. Must have been fantastic.
