  • @boobyrooberts thank you booby. glad you liked it.

  • @MrTubbymarshall great story mate, rip

  • @MrTubbymarshall How long ago was that?

  • when i was a young tearaway, i did community service. at an old folks rest home i came across several ww1 vets. one of em, his name was boaty woods, veteran of BOTH ww1 AND 2, would often threaten me with a pasting if i didnt do as i was told. and he went for me too. his fighting spirit never left him. he was a nasty little fucker. brought up and lived on canal boats, hence the name Boaty Woods. tell u what, if he was my enemy in the trenches, i wouldnt have wanted to cross him. R.I.P. Boaty.

  • One thing we can say for certain is the fact Harry will have said many times to himself" O" NOT AGAIN.." Will we ever Learn" RIP Patchy rejoin your band of brothers.

  • Have just read the book,God bless you Harry, We Will Remember.

  • A true gentleman and national treasure. Sleep well and sleep deep Harry Patch.

  • Harry's Cornish accent.... beautiful. As a Brit I don't think another accent would do it more justice.

He never set out to be the last survivour, but he made me think of all the old soldiers I met in my life. Read his book and listen to his video clips, there is nobody who evocked the horror better than Harry Patch.

  • Its quite moving that he was last of his generation, there are billions of people in the world but only in little more than hundred years they are all gone.

  • royal air force, uk
