Candid Amitabh Bachchan gets nostalgic

During a recent interview, Bollywood veteran Amitabh Bachchan got nostalgic about the support he got from his fans more than two decades ago when he survived a life threatening accident on the sets of Manmohan Desais Coolie.

Amazingly, Big B candidly spoke about the most important person in his life; this person who stood by him all the time, through his thicks and thins, is none other than his lovely wife - Jaya Bachchan.

A little flashback - while filming Coolie in 1982 Amitabh seriously injured his intestines during a fight scene with co-actor Puneet Issar. He was taken to the hospital and was operated upon. He remained critically ill for many months. The accident received wide coverage and a Bachchan hysteria gripped the country. Hordes of fans thronged temples, praying for his well-being.

This guy certainly does rock and my hats off to Karan Johar and crew for doing this, Charity begins at home and my heart goes out to all those in need. If i ever get to see Big B, I will pobably shiver with excitement, but what i do not understand, is why people worship him, two of his fans on this, literally worship him..one has his life insurance in Big B's name and the other, did not wear shoes for 15 yrs and almost literally died to meet him. that is a sign of mental illness.
