  • i have been very curious about this unit for a while, i just had a question does this have amp AND speaker modelling??? so would it make a good recording unit on its own without the use of a power amp? im guessing it also has line out... (and i understand that nothing can REALLY rpeplace a good REAL power amp but im wondering if this is passable)

  • I have only used for recording direct into the sound card.

  • good? bad? hows it for heavy sounds??? realistic???

  • its good. I don't know about heavy sounds. you can check out the fractal audio forum, there are some soundclips there.

  • wow i really like your playing and the effects also. keep posting!

  • thanks

  • Isn't usb inferior for recording??

And why do the graphics matter....

And no offense, but that eleven rack doesn't even sound close to the axe

  • not really, no where near enough gain for satch.

Great tone anyway though, sounds way better than the guitar world demo.

  • Hi! Great playing! Where do you buy your backing tracks? I need some hi quality tracks to practise with.

    Best regards Esben Madsen

  • @BlueBarrier782 I played the Eleven for the 1st timne at the shop yesterday. I hated it. This thing on the other hand....WANT! :)

  • Did you sell you tom anderson guitar?

  • @afrodisiac1984 yes, it has amp, cabinet, and mic for the cabinet modeling, so yes it would be great for recording, a lot of people play this into a mixer, or pa system.

  • Well, some people simply have a better ear for real tone. So if the sound of the eleven rack pleases you, then by all means go for it. If you can't tell a difference, why spend more, right? Its all about what you need. I on the other hand, have played through both and the sound of the Axe-Fx, both live and in recordings, much outweighs everything offered by the eleven rack. And this is taking into account the lack of better graphics/editor/USB on the Axe-Fx.

  • Are you gonna look at the amps.. or play them??

  • You have to tweak it some - turn off the cab and sometimes the power amp modeling. It gets ten times closer to the "real amp feel" than anything else out there. You can also use it as a recording tool, and then just for effects live.

If you are considering doing some of your own recording, and have $2k to spend on this vs. a Mesa Mark V, I would recommend you get this. Every other "swiss army knife" box leaves you wanting compared to the real thing. This does not.

  • AXE-FX for the win!

  • Yes, USB is inferior. Unless you don't care about a good sound.

  • Are you obsessed with complaining about these 2 details, which have nothing to do with tone. I've seen you post this on numerous Axe Fx videos. It's getting OLD!
