The story starts in 1978 with this car. I originally bought it 31 years ago and loved it. Absolute power, beautiful looks, solid muscle car body. In a weird sequence of events, I ended up trading it in at Dvorak's Chevrolet in Stoughton, WI for a 1973 Chevy Laguna (I'm not sure what I was thinking either).
The car then ended up with another owner who had it for 17 years. He performed a body off restoration and put in a remanned engine. He also painted it black with gold stripes (not a pretty sight, maybe it was the 1980s that inspired him, maybe Smokey and the Bandit).
In 2003 my youngest son bought it and immediately got three tickets, so I "helped him out" and bought it back. It was nice to have it back, really. I then finished the restoration and painted it back to the original colors and put in a new interior.
I'm only selling this car because I want to build a $30,000 fence around my horse farm for my daughters. That's it. This car has a lot of memories for my family and myself, and I'd really love for someone as enthusiastic about cars (particularly Chevelles) to buy it from me and carry on the legacy.
Check out the video we put together - it really shows how much fun you can have with this car. It takes country roads and eats them for breakfast. This car can be a cruiser or if you want to open it up, an absolute beast.

@mmaxon888 The tach was only an option, never a standard. Even on the SS cars.
