Kingpin is not a game that is remembered as fondly as its contemporary of the late 90s. It is a first person short, released by Xatrix Entertainment, who actually cease to operating the day the game shipped. The reason it is notable for gaming history is because the controversy that surrounded it. Kingpin is a violent game, with a capital V. As we will see in the game you us lead pipes to bludgeon people and every character swore like a sailor. It is different now, but then, this level of vulgarity and violence were not considered the normal and few games, such as Postal, approached the level of mature atmosphere that kingpin displayed, but it was external influences that would take this FPS from just another game release, to nation media attention
