http://Ruthhoganpoulsen.com Training the young classical dressage horse. This young and talented Lusitano stallion arrived at the farm 4 days before this video. After having gathered as much information as we could on him, we began walk, trot and some canter to see what and how he had been started. You can follow his progress on my web site. Ruth

  • I love horses that are happy doing dressage:) Your horse collects so well in a snaffle! I am working on a collected trot with my little Welsh Cob x in a snaffle because around where I live people don't know the difference between dressage in a snaffle with impulsion and in a correct frame...They think that putting a pelham on your horse and sawing its mouth to make it "collected" is better. I will one day have a grand prix horse with just a snaffle...!! I love your training methods!!

  • I really like your point of view towards working with young horses. I have a young Thoroughbred gelding who I'm retraining from his racing days. I'm currently working on gaining his trust and teaching him to be a good boy before lunging or getting on him.

  • @gauravd57 OMG for a second I thought you meant people should dominate and ride only one rein!! That is very sad that you don't have more good local teachers! I have been watching loads of great videos as well, it is a great way to learn different opinions!

  • one of the best way of training any horse, here around me people like to ride on one rain and dominate horses, I think suck kind of videos are very Important for new horse lovers/ Riders :)

  • Somebody teach me to have legs this long and to post like that

  • Thanks so much for posting this video, very clear!

  • Loved this so much! made great sense and how nice to see a youngster be allowed to find himself with calmness and kindness.

Thank you for sharing, I for one, will be keeping an eye on the progress as well as using this on my 3yrs old PRE.
