As the remains of Hurricane Lee hits the Central Susquehanna Valley in PA today, the normally calm stream thru Mt. Joy, became everything but calm. As cars and truck got stuck the Water Rescue started.

Units from Lancaster County responded to find 5 peple trap on their roof in the roaring creek, now river. I one point, the Maryland State Police Medivac helicopter was hovering overhead as seen in this video

This is the raw unedited tape of the rescue today

  • I live right up the street, as I have my whole life, and I've never seen Chiques flood like that. Coming home from school I passed the Amtrack off of Main and someone was canoeing down the flooded tracks. It was crazy.

  • nice video. Thanks for sharing.

  • I just missed getting stuck in that flood by about 1 hour.

I am so thankful I got home when I did.
