Does this type of organ have a tutti/sforzando piston?
-
Lovely sound, I do like this a lot...

actually the festival trumpet does couple..not with a coupler but there should be a piston saying Mel-choir or Mel-swell. it couples the highest note of the trumpet to whatever you are playing on the great. I know my rodgers has this function.

This was played at my Grandfathers funeral. This song has touched me in so many ways more than just 1. Thank you for sharing. :-)

There is a certain depth of sound here and a clarity, especially in the first refrain diapason chorus, that Allen just doesn't seem to have...I don't know why...and not to belittle anyone, but rather just brighten the spotlight on a different one. Very nice!

Is this an electric or pipe organ?

@32ContreBombarde- I still remember the day my churches new sanctuary opened. I was 7 years old standing at the rear of the church -surrounded by 351 people. When we started to sing, all I heard was this sound that I never knew. Its like everything else went silent. From that day on I have loved the organ, and that was a old 1978 Allen Organ 603. Sounds awful today, but I still play it from time to time. The organ is the only instrument that will cause tears to build in my eyes.
Thanks for answering. I love your style of playing its the sound that made me fall in love with the instrument.

@AMGBenzS65 I'm more than glad to help, it comes from within, truly, it may be the page in a Hymnal, but it goes through me. Must have an imagination :)

Did you use Generals? Or did you gradually open up the Crescendo ?
I'd like to play a Rodgers organ. My first love was a Allen, and I think Ill always be faithful to Allens. But from what I have heard of Rodgers I am very impressed. My church just installed a new Diane Bish Signature Series, and I love it.

@AMGBenzS65 Used mostly generals, and few added on the fly, the crescendo leaves out a few of the "high pressure" stops and couplers. The tutti at the end was every stop besides the harp, all mixtures, all coupled to the great, except the 8' Festival Trumpet, which doesn't couple to the Great or Swell manual. I pulled the 32' Kontrabomb myself while still playing a FULL swell division. Last Chord, Choir w/trumpet, then full triad/octave on great.
