I believe you will find that having that buzz or "fuzzy" sound as you call it was most likely Jones' attempt to sound like his hero Jerry Reed. Mr. Reed would purposely lower the strings on his nylon guitars in order to get that buzz sound. Everyone has their own personal taste but personally I like the sound of Buster's guitar. It adds a heavy raw element to his songs. I absolutely love to listen to Tommy Emmanuel and Thom Bresh. Their sound is unique, so was Buster's. All are legendary!
I have been trying to get used to the electrified nylon sound and it all sounds to twangy to me. Sorry just cant replace a good microphone for true tone. I rarely hear one that isnt twangy sounding.
The g natural is a quite powerful machine, i gave it a try some weeks ago and now i own one. i really like it, it offers damn much options for your livesound-setting.
