you only have to get one idea from a concept and the design works what it was intended for
-
There are many very interesting ideas here. Some of what we deem to be technological progress comes from those who are willing to conceptualize. Their ideas may not come to pass, but at least they start off as a strong foundation. Good job!

Immediate thoughts: I would lengthen the wheel base (more stability,) open the area around the tires to reduce additional shrapnel during a blow out. Place an expandable/collapsible aerodynamic curtain between the tractor and trailer, with a travel area of 30ft, for when the rig has to make a very tight turn.
-
While the moving parts are cool, they also use up weight. The weights we are restricted to are absolute. The weight distribution of the tractor is just as important as the trailer. So it depends on what power source you are using. Also aerodynamics, the space between the truck and trailer is a huge waste of energy. Your design, with the extension out, is more efficient than if it is retracted.

What power source does your concept use? 100% electric or a hydrogen fuel cell.

i think my friend that is an amazing peice of design and you should be hired my mercedes. and secondly you are quite the mind to create something so simple yet complicated all at once
-
Obviously driver safety is his number 1 concern.

this is very amazing!!

interesting design me friend. unfortunately its the ugliest looking truck I've ever seen, even Renault wouldn't go for it.
Here is a brief explanation for the RETARDS that feel the need to put stupid comments on my videos. This video was created in my first year of university using a program called solid works and animated in alias, both of which I had only been learning for a month.

Im sure that most people who do have a brain will realise that it is a concept generated with the key objective to resolve a problem, This being the lack of space truckers have in there living quarters.

Also for the brilliantly smart person who stated But if its raining, if you actual watch the video you will see that the side view of the truck illustrates corrugated rubber which would seal the gap made when expanding, the only reason for truck not showing when it was expanding is first of all, I was not skilled enough to create at the time and secondly, it illustrates the expansion of the truck better.
