Having 999 HP, 999 MP, a speed of 50, a physical attack of 99, and a magic attack of 99 seems like you'd have to use a Gameshark or the related in order to have. It turns out that it's entirely possible to have such stats without cheating, rather, exploiting a weakness/design flaw in the game. When the stat-raiser is a mime, used to raise magic attack (the only worthy way to do so), the process for phase 1 is unchanged but phase 2 is significantly different. The nature of the mime is what makes it so bad and annoying but there is a way to work around some of these annoyances and limitations. Despite being the most crippling status effect, frog on the mime works wonders! It is advised that you don't go all the way out to level 99 with 99 exp - this can take a very long time. Level 77 is the best stopping point for a good balance between time spent leveling and stat bonuses. Going further takes longer, but you'll need fewer cycles' worth to max out magic attack. As an extra tip, consider ending phase 1 on level 2 instead of level 1. It'll make the setup go a bit faster.
I was wondering. you say that whenever you cast a spell the mime copies it and that can get annoying. for instance when it casted blind on your ally...but then she earned 99 exp. so what you could do is set a time mage face to face to the mime and spam quick on the mime. the mime will quick the lvl.99 time mage and get 99 exp then you force that to just wait. and instead of yelling at the mime you yell at the time mage. shouldn't that be faster?
