from Jones Beach Amphitheater, Wantagh, NY
- early performance of "Taste" with a few differences in song structure from the current version which the song would soon evolve to by the following year:
During what would would become Fishman's verse "step into space. . . ", Trey sings the first verse again in that type of style. There is also an outro chorus added right before the finale.
Interestingly, during the fall tour they would switch to "Fog That Surrounds", or "Taste That Surrounds", with a different verse & chorus structure. Check out the fall '95 version from New Haven on Dec. 2nd at the end of the first set for a nice example & comparison between the two songs.
The song would soon evolve into the familiar current version by summer '96. . .
- also a nice look in these videos of CK5's lighting setup & light movements during the concert. The three vertical angled sheets, introduced for the fall '94 tour, would soon be replaced with a new lighting rig by the fall. The new lights provided a clear view for all the phans located behind the stage & all around - "Phish 360".
