@AGrumpyPanda Weeeell.... without guardsmen imperium would fall, so there's always that.

Guardsmen who did their job are all heroes in my books and guardman's job is to die fighting.

@MeatstickRob88 The storm of the Emperor's wrath is a warp breach mate, i.e. the work of CHAOS :P The fact that it appeared just in time to swallow a chaos fleet (and probably help them escape) doesn't make it the Emperor's work.

@l0rf Horus killed a crap load of people, so what? A lot of guardsmen died fighting, a lot do every second of every day. That doesn't make them any better than anyone else.

@l0rf Yeah.. about that.. you do realise that on average a LOT of guardsmen are executed for dereliction of duty or cowardice before the fight even starts? Courage doesn't make someone a hero, nor does having the balls to stand on the line with a crappy gun and no armour to speak of. Heroes, by their very nature, DO SOMETHING, which for the most part often serves as the inspiration for other men (and women) to follow in their tracks. The guard serves, but that doesn't make them heroes.
