Read some more comments and someone said the disney info was incorrect. My apologies. I still don't think they will produce a piece true to Lone Ranger values.

I hope disney knows Clayton Moore didn't need the mask. He was and is The Lone Ranger! '' No mask needed ''
I my self will never watch a disney lone ranger wanabe movie. Let all true Lone Ranger / Clayton Moore fans pledge NOT TO starting here.

We can still hear the echo of his cry "Hi Ho Silver Away"! We need a Hero like the Lone Ranger and Clayton Moore today who stands for doing the right thing nomatter the what.
-
how does an actor, artist etc. get his name on the walk of fame?
-
That was just plain ROTTEN of the Disney studios preventing Clayton Moore from appearing in public with his trademark mask.
-
an adoption agency would not let Clayton Moore adopt a boy because they said no boy could live up to the expectations of the Lone Ranger. I mark that time as the begining of the end for this country.
-
Why couldn't he wear his old uniform ?

Hi Yo Clayton Moore and Jay Silverheels....forever champions for morality and truth. Surely missed, but never forgotten.
Thanks Kemosabe

I am so glad that he got this while he was still alive - a true American icon, he more than earned his star. He went out of his way to live up to the image that he represented; I'm so pleased they put that on his star along with his name.

There were other Lone Ranger actors but Clayton will forever be the one who I grew up with and admired - I watched him on the "radio" than on TV with his faithful Indian companion Tonto (Jay Silverheels) and of course his trusty horse Siver. Those were better times, kinder in so many ways. So "gettem up Scott" & a hardy "Hi YO Silver"....away....
Clayton Moore was the epitome of class. He was one of those rare people who play heroes and actually behave like one in real life. He was a postive and wonderful role model and I have yet to hear one word said against him as a man. I wish that I had gotten to meet him.
