Is the Microphone a Rode NT1A Large Diaphram Compressor? You don't have a Reflexion Filter or any acoustic wall padding as far as I can see. Is that not necessary for podcasting? I am used to recording CD's. This video was VERY helpful. THanks for the effort.

DBX gear is ok quality, as far as the EQ and Compression goes, The Aphex is the best stuff that you do own, but Mackie mixers are also pro-sumer gear, and (non-modular).

Try an Avalon preamp or UREI LA-4 optical compressor and JBL/Urei or Klark Technic EQs, 

Rane EQs are better than DBX or try Ashly EQs, Orban Parametrics too.

You know that Most PC recording software has VST EQs and Tube microphone emulator plugins also.(Antares modeling software).
