The Light Bulb Conspiracy involves investigative research and rare archive footage to trace the untold story of planned obsolescence, right from its beginnings in the 1920s with a secret cartel, set up expressly to limit the life span of light bulbs, to modern day stories involving cutting edge electronics (such as the iPod) and the growing spirit of resistance amongst ordinary consumers.
This documentary examines how companies undertake planned obsolescence, which is the deliberate shortening of product life spans. This as the movie argues is done to guarantee consumer demand.
This is so interesting that I had to watch again!
It's just so true how things work Today; a friend of mine told me just yesterday how his freezer broke and by the time he would've gotten the parts to fix; it was only a few bucks more to buy a new one!

@grannygrunt1000 Yes, and the same people that have brought use a throwaway society are now going to remake us.
It’s called Transhumanism, genetically mixing us with animals. Look it up. It’s the same thing that was going on in the days of Noah. They have already been mixing plant and animal DNA.
Go to my play list on UFOs Angels and GOD.

@grannygrunt1000 Thanks!
I’ve always known that things are made to last just so long, but I didn’t realize it went bake to 1920 or that it started with light bulbs. I just thought it came from the auto industry. Just think about what we could be creating by now if we weren’t so busy making cheep stuff that doesn’t last.
The future will look back at this and wonder how we could be so stupid!
