DIsney Secret Service.mov

On vacation in Walt Disney World Florida I happened to catch this little gem. At night we were visiting the Contemporary Resort and while filming the decor I heard this yelling, sounded like Spanish, and I spun the camera around to catch this guy being arrested. These two security guards had him in quite the arm lock and were 'escorting' him to some back room. Although you hear my voice saying 'He stole a purse' I have no idea what he really did, I just said that aloud for no reason. Maybe he was drunk and disorderly. Either way, those guards meant business. A friend told me that you can spend all week at Disney World and you'll never see any security, but trust me, they're there. And the minute you cause some trouble, boom, they come out of the woodwork. After witnessing this incident I made a point of looking around for security guys, but alas, I never saw any. Don't mess with Mickey!!

They friggin blend in, I bet Mickey freakin MOUSE is a security guard. On an early morning opening my family went to Epcot. We were walking along and my Dad said "Man, I bet the trees are scared to death to shed a LEAF in this place." My Mom and I saw this dude up ahead of us crack a big smile, I noticed he had a earplug in his ear. Security. I bet the grounds people got a gold star that day

@caljacfra Did you ever hear the rumor that they do not sell shoes in the Magic Kingom? They don't. If somebody reports a child missing first they ask you what shoes your child was wearing. They send security to the exits, force everybody in one line and look at the kids' shoes. They know kidnappers will change their clothes and cut their hair to abduct kids My son's shoes were bothering him and we had to go off site to buy him new ones.

@592220 I'd never heard that before but it sounds like an effective technique. I had heard another rumor that all the trash cans in Disney don't need to be emptied because the trash is 'sucked' down into the bowels of Disney through tubes. I don't know if that's true or not. Also, in the early 90's (before cell phones) I noticed all these little kids running around Disney World with pagers. It turned out you could rent them for your kids at the front entrance. Another effective technique!

@caljacfra The trash thing in Disney World is absolutely true. One of the things after Disneyland was built that Walt Disney thought ruined the experience was trash cans being emptied and so they built a series of tubes when they made Disney World to avoid just that. Actually there's an entire underground facility beneath the park, not sure what's all done there, but that's pretty cool in my opinion.

It was probably a disney employee that stole the purse because he was poor and couldn't afford food.

@592220 They sell crocs for adults and children and have for at least 3 years now.

@592220 My daughter currently has three pairs of shoes we have purchased at Magic Kingdom this year alone. Also, if you or your child lose shoes on a ride, they will even give you a voucher to buy a new pair.

@spyyder976 however when i went on the tower of terror it was fairly new, and i had been videotaping all the rides, yet when i got on that ride, i saw a worker nod at a girl who jumped onto the ride and sat by me and when we went up, and i got ready to film, she said you can't film this! i said watch me, and she kept grabbing my camera and snatching it down and saying, i SAID you can't film this! i was like whatever! i knew she was an employee, but she just about got her teeth knocked out!

@Th3NewArt5tudio at disney world, there is a barrel with some plastic gemstones and coins scattered across the top over where peter and wendy hang out and talk to folks, near pirates of the caribbean ride, and you can tell that everyone is always trying to take the fake gems and coins as they're pulled apart and loose and scattered about, and i of course had to take one of the plastic gems as a souvenir, but nobody jumped on me!
