The song "Awesome God" was written by Rich Mullins at a Christian camp "Rock Lake Christian Assembly" in a small town in Michigan. "Awesome God" became an instant hit on Christian Radio and also it became a popular praise chorus.

of all the artist's who did this wonderful Praise song...I'd say anyone's that was by far the best was that of The Late Rich Mullens...It was sad when his life got cut short in a Jeep Accident in the late 1990's!!! Although Rich may be gone but his wonderful Inspirational Hit Awesome God Lives On forever in our Hearts!!!
