what stops the condensation on the underside of the liner, there seems to be no venting for the liner.

could you show the detail of how you dress this liner when it comes out of the roof and onto the slates, it seems to be covered in a straight cut flashing (totally wrong) but you cant see the soaker detail where the liner meets the soaker's.

Hi. Kempouk i think you may not be familiar with the fitting of DPC trays to chimneys. The purpose being to prevent water entering the building via the exposed brick work. Nothing to do with soakers or indeed the chimney flashing other than using the front section to weather the front apron. As for the dog ear method of folding a corner this is the ONLY situation that it employed, for ease and know aesthetic requirement owing to its position in side the roof.

@kempouk yes, i'm a nit pikker. but your wrong on this one. . the water will find its way onto the apron flashing one way or the other. and condensation..i mean come on. if your point had hany validity the sidewalls of every house in london would leak.

just lead you rock, although in the states it's rare to see step flashing the way you build it. but guys here really don't build neat clean gusseted lead like you either... but here on the east cost, our climate is much different than uk

this is total crud, there is no dpc tray ever,

there should be step flashings not cut through brick, this is totally wrong. you should never bend and fold lead it should be bossed into a 90 degree box detail, this is not the way to flash a chimney.
