Here's a video I put together of most of the modifications I have on my 99' Trans Am. I had limited time to fit to the music so I couldn't fit them all but it gives some construction photos and before + after of the car itself. It started out as a stock Trans Am I purchased back in 2001. Many modifications later is what you see now. It's been in 2 magazines (High Performance Pontiac, and GM High Tech Performance). I wanted to put pictures of the article in here but I didn't have the space.

List of Modifications as of 5/15/09

Body:
WS6 style Hood, 30th anniversary style stripes in black, Wings West Ground Effect, ZR1 wheels (rear 17x11 with 315 35ZR17 and front 17x9 with 275 40ZR17 tires), slotted and drilled rotors with Hawk Pads)

Performance (Diablo Tuner, Whisper Air Lid, Magnaflow Cat Back Exhaust, 180 Powerstat) Many more performance mods to come...this will now be my next direction....maybe a procharger. :)

Special Mods: Front Light Up Bird, Rear Fiber Optic color changing bird, light up "Trans Am" lights on T-Bar, Dual 7" monitors with modified PS2 and DVD player, Custom made overhead console, Custom made glove box lighting control center, Knight rider hood scoop lights, lower scoop light, LED underbody lighting, Custom Scanmaster install, triple gauge pod (oil temp, trans temp, aeroforce interceptor gauge),

I know I forgot some stuff but this is all I can think of at the moment. I didn't include all of the engine dress up mods but it's too many to list.

  • The whole lighting up/game system deal isn't my thing but I have got to hand it to you for a clean set up on your T/A. I can't even imagine how long some of that must have taken you to get hooked up.

    Nice job.

  • @my67falcon Thanks for the comments. I don't have the cash to do the performance upgrades plus in Illinois, with emissions it's pretty tought to do anyway so I try to shine in car shows in another way. Yeah, some of them did take quite a while to build. Havea good one!

  • The cars fuckin sick dude very nice!!! does the lights effect the ram air?

  • @21marinecorps Thanks! No, the lights in the hood scoops are mounted about 1" back and I opened up the block off plate so it should get more flow now then it did from the factory.

  • @1999TransAmWS6 where did you get the light up birds? If you made them yourself you should sell some :D I'd buy a set for my 89 formy 350

  • That car is such a beauty

  • sick setup in general!

is there anyway that you can do a write up/parts list/time it took for the knight rider lighting?

  • looking and sounds like a dragon :)

  • @dasauce16 Actually, it's just the original factory paint with some decals added. I haven't had it painted yet.

  • @1999TransAmWS6 how much did your paint job costs?
