In one of the most exciting games in NEC Women's Basketball Tournament history, #5 seed Saint Francis (PA) upset top-seeded Robert Morris, 80-79, in a semifinal round contest on Sunday, March 7th in Loretto, PA. Led by NEC Player of the Year Angela Pace (30 points), the Colonials stormed back from a 17-point deficit with under 11 minutes to play and took their first lead of the game on a Monica Jones runner with 1:13 to play. Trailing by two, first team All-NEC guard Britney Hodges calmly drained her team's 14th three-pointer - an NEC Tournament record - of the game with 11 seconds left on the clock to regain the lead, 80-79, for the Red Flash. Robert Morris would misfire on two potential game-winning shots in the waning seconds. Saint Francis advanced to meet Long Island in the NEC title game, while Robert Morris' season will continue in the WNIT. A postgame interview follows with the Red Flash's Allison Daly, who established a new tourney mark with eight three-pointers in the contest.
