  • May I recommend Harpo marx's autobiography, "Harpo Speaks" in which he relates two humorous Schoenberg stories, one of which involved a violin case full of ping pong paddles and balls. "One can never tell where one might find a table." another described Schoenberg's first meeting with Irving Thalberg. For the record, Schoenberg is among my five favorite composers, along with Mendelssohn, Borodin, Bach, and....
