"metal-esque" riff on a Vox AC30CC2

For some reason I've had some sort of fascination recently with what to me are metal sounding riffs. Was just having fun trying to get this one that I heard in my head down at the tempo that I wanted. Played on a Vox AC30CC2 with a sm 57 mic in front using an MXR Distortion III pedal for distortion.

The MXR Distortion sound kinda fuzzy (which is great). Did you try to put a treble booster in front (like this guy, spicbuddha).

@portorikan that's cool, I mean, the MXR sounds great, but check a treble booster, I think you can get a cool heavy tone. Anyway, this is one of the few videos when you see the guy using a real mic and not just the camera's mic. Even some "professional" demos are crappy...

I haven't. I've heard of it, but I haven't tried it out before. If I ever get a chance to, I might. Heard a lot of good things about it.
