Mount Yasur on Tanna Vanuatu is the most accessible active volcano in the world. It is constantly erupting with lager blasts every 5 mins or so. Film taken October 2008.

How lucky you are in Australia; in Europe we have Stromboli, Yasur's brother; but not far away from Australia in Vanuatu you have: very active Yasur; and lava lakes in Ambrym; and Lopevi... Would like to go there, but so far away!

The music is by 'Dead Can Dance' and is called 'Yulunga (Spirit Dance)'. My soundtrack stops after a long intro before the percussion and vocal kicks in. It's a great track and can be found on the album 'Into the Labyrinth'.
Leading up to 2.30mins is a recording of Tanna village children singing a welcome song.
