Twitter users say only a little more than a third of the tweets they receive are worthwhile. Some are not worth reading at all, according to a new study by researchers at Carnegie Mellon University, MIT and Georgia Tech.
Paul Andre, a post-doctoral fellow in Carnegie Mellon University's Human-Computer Interaction Institute, is the lead author of a study. Along with his colleagues -- Michael Bernstein and Kurt Luther, doctoral students at MIT and Georgia Tech, respectively -- he created "Who Gives a Tweet?" a website to collect reader evaluations of tweets.
