W. Ferling Etude No. 2

This was for the TMEA All State auditions for the 2007-2008 school year. It is not perfect by any means, so please forgive the mistakes.

Start slow, keep increasing the tempo once you mastered each tempo.

  • Nice! Quick question. I graduated in 08 I was in honors band. I want to go to music school at the University of Houston. Unfortunately my test scores werent high so im at junior college just doing core. Ok. I want to major in music Ed. and I picked up the sax. Fortunately I still have good tone according to a music professor. But my question is how can you develop fast toungeing again. I lost the speed. Hopefully I can get better by the time im done with core and transfer. thanks.

  • My area is F as well... Are you 4A or 5A? Did you make area? What sax do you play?

  • No I did not make state. I was five away, as a freshman.
