I understand what she's saying, but it's kinda scary. A bit like deliberate, wilful self-sabotage. That said, I'm now going to watch some episodes of the hit show 'Family Ties'!
tho', to be honest, no, not everyone looks great: some ppl don't take care of themselves, some are always mean-looking or downcast bcuz of their attitude... but that has nothing to do with normal, healthy aging and natural weight fluctuations. Some ppl actualy look awful, but the point is: who cares? it's probably because of their character. I've found that women--and men--who don't fit the "beauty standard" begin to look wonderful to me as i get to know their beautiful character.
@stevespielberg: i agree. i would say if you don't like my face, STOP LOOKING AT ME, lol! Clearly they wish they had been famous enough to even get haters ;)
@MrNotSoGreat: So this should've been on Entertainment Tonight or revealed in a People magazine article! LOL, get with the times: social media, including d-i-y entities like YouTube, are the way of the future. It's instant, it's easy and you get to say exactly what you want to say.
i agree with Justine that there is an obsession with looks, especially women's looks, but that ain't new, honey. There has always been an obsession with youth, whether plump and youthful, or skinny and boyish, or curvy and fertile. Regardless of size, when beauty standards vary, there is still an emphasis on youth. I guess I understand why, but i think it's stupid, too. Experience and wisdom trump arrogance and naivete--no offense to anyone under 25... but really though ;)
Wow! What a refreshing perspective. Thank you for being YOU. Pay no attention to the haters. Their cruelty only reveals their misery. Bless you, Justine!
You look beautiful....people could be mean, but it's their issue, not yours.

I'm more concerned with why a Hollywood actress would revert to Youtube.
