thanks it helped a lot dude!!! but don't you think that is a lot easier if you transform your elipse selection into a path and then stroke that path w/ the brush??? :)

@drummerdemigod That's quite possible, however using the brush gives you more fine detail, and as shadows are not perfectly uniform (there is falloff) it may not turn out as realistic as you would want it to be.

hey dude, good tut. i have a suggestion however. when you use the painting brush thing for the shaddow, you should just drop a shaddow on the carbon layer :) as it wont have effects on the edges.
