Most of us have seen the advertising banners flying up the coast. I flew those planes for two summers, and many of my friends inquire with me about the technique used to launch a banner. Here is a video I made in 2003 while working at Paramount Air Service in Rio Grande, NJ.
The camera was set to "fast shutter" which gives the propeller the stroboscopic stop-motion effect. Sorry.
I *think* the pilot was Rob Smith. If I am incorrect, I apologize.
I am the videographer. (C) 2003 / 2009.
